NEW - Extended Hours Service
We are recommencing our Extended Hours Service from 01.07.2019, this will essentially mean we will be offering more GP, Practice Nurse, Pharmacist and Healthcare Assistant appointments outside of our usual opening hours. We are currently considering how this may work and what hours our clinicians and staff can offer to provide these additional appointments. Our plan is to have some weekday evening clinics (from 6.30pm-8pm) and possibly some additional morning appointments from 7.30am. We would be grateful if you could let us know any thoughts/preferences you may have whilst we are in the planning phase of this programme.
NEW - Extended Access GP Service
Goldsworth Medical Practice, through our GP federation (NICS) is pleased to offer NHS GP video consultations via the LIVI app. Appointments Mon-Fri 7am - 10pm Sat-Sun 9am -5pm Download the app - LIVI-NHS GP appointments from the app store.
Extended access appointments will be available from 6-9pm on weekday evenings (including bank holidays but not in August) and from 9am to midday at weekends.
Patients can book these appointments through their local GP practice.
As these extra appointments are provided from four GP surgeries in the area, the GP or clinician will have access to your medical record, with your consent, giving them access to all the information they would need to provide the best possible care.
The additional appointments will be provided at the following locations – and patients in North West Surrey can book appointments at any of these sites:
The Red Practice – Walton Health Centre (Rodney Road, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 3LB)
Studholme Medical Centre (50 Church Road, Ashford, TW15 2TU)
Sunbury Health Centre (Green Street, Sunbury-on-Thames, TW16 6RH)
Woking Community Hospital (Heathside Road, Woking, GU22 7HS)
Initially, these extra appointments will be provided by local GPs but from October there are plans to extend this service to also include nurse-led clinics, blood tests, physiotherapy assessments and digital consultations (which includes online face to face consultations via a patient smartphone).

Keeping well, how Patient Access can help.
GP online services are available at Goldsworth Medical Practice to help people better manage their health. These services enable patients to book GP appointments, view test results and request repeat prescriptions via their computer, smartphone or tablet at a time that suits them, anywhere, anytime – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patients who require repeat prescriptions can request these from the comfort of their own home. You will also be able to review which medication you should be taking, the dosage and when it should be taken – helping to improve your understanding of your medication.
If you want to register for GP online services you will need to fill out a form at the practice and show two forms of ID one of which should have a photo (such as a UK passport or driving licence) and the other should have your address (such as a council tax bill). If you don’t have photo ID or anything with your address on it, it doesn’t mean you will not be able to use online services, our practice staff may be able to help.

NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
The NHS Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS) is a service where prescriptions can be sent electronically to the patients' chosen pharmacy or appliance company instead of a paper prescription being printed and collected.
This is currently an optional service and any patients who want their prescriptions to be sent electronically need to speak to their chosen pharmacy to officially nominate them.
Patients will not automatically have their prescriptions sent this way - It is an OPT-IN service.
The NHS EPS is a secure and confidential service and your electronic prescription will only be seen by the same people who see your paper prescriptions now (GP practice staff, pharmacy staff, NHS prescription payment and fraud prevention agencies).
Further information can be found on the HSCIC website by clicking on the following link http://systems.hscic.gov.uk/eps/patients
You can find a copy of the pharmacy nomination form here: EPS_Pharmacy_nomination_form.doc
